Worked example with the starting values
- Selling price $30, product cost $8, shipping $4, ads $2 per order.
- Platform: 9% of $30 + $0.30 = $3.00. Creator commission: 15% of $30 = $4.50.
- Left per order: 30 − 8 − 4 − 2 − 3.00 − 4.50 = $8.50 (about 28%), or $850 a month at 100 orders.
- Break-even price: (8 + 4 + 2 + 0.30) ÷ (1 − 0.24) ≈ $18.82. Without creator commission you would keep $13.00 per order.

TikTok Shop profit FAQ
What fees does TikTok Shop take?
Usually a percentage of the selling price and, in some countries, a fixed fee per order. Exact rates are in your Seller Center because they vary by country and category.
What is the creator commission?
When affiliate creators promote your product in videos or LIVEs, they earn a percentage of the selling price that you set.
What is the break-even price?
The lowest selling price at which nothing is left after all costs and fees. Below it, every order loses money.
Why ad spend per order?
Divide your ad budget by the orders it brought in. That shows whether ads pay for themselves per sale.
