How it works

Base per post = avg. views ÷ 1,000 × CPM. Then your usage-rights and exclusivity surcharges, times the number of posts, minus the package discount. Rounded to whole amounts.

Worked example with the starting values

  1. YouTube, 20,000 avg. views, CPM $15 to $30: 20,000 ÷ 1,000 × 15 = $300 to 20,000 ÷ 1,000 × 30 = $600 per video.
  2. Package of 3 videos, 20% usage-rights surcharge, 10% package discount: $300 × 1.2 × 3 × 0.9 = $972 to $1,944.
  3. Adding 30-day exclusivity (+10%): $1,053 to $2,106.

Sponsorship pricing FAQ

How much should I charge for a sponsored video?
Use your average views from your last 10 to 20 videos, not followers. Views ÷ 1,000 × CPM gives the base. With 20,000 views and a CPM of 15 to 30, one video lands at roughly 300 to 600.
Why views instead of followers?
Brands buy attention. A channel with 100,000 followers and 3,000 views per video reaches fewer people than one with 10,000 followers and 15,000 views.
What is CPM in brand deals?
CPM is the price per 1,000 views. The starting values here are placeholders to edit, not market data. Compare with your own past deals.
How much extra for usage rights?
If the brand may run your video as an ad or reuse it on its own channels, that has its own value. Many creators add a percentage and limit the duration, for example 30 or 90 days.
Should I discount a multi-video package?
A small package discount can make sense because you gain planning security. The calculator shows right away how much a discount lowers the total.
